WITRAC offers an intelligent solution to monitor and manage products and processes in real time

Why does a multinational like Ford trust a startup like WiTraC? Why have other Level 1 multinationals such as Gestamp, Faurecia or SRG global come to this start up to connect all their processes and know at all times where each product is?

The answer lies in the innovation that this company has introduced and that combines in the same service the design of the software and hardware necessary to connect all areas of a company and “give visibility to the products”. For its co-founder, Javier Ferrer, the company was born when, in their previous work stages, the two partners “detected that the companies were lost in terms of total traceability. Companies were blind to real-time supply chain surveillance. ” “The answer lies in the development of its own technology, which combines in the same service the creation of intelligent sensors capable of generating and storing data, with the design of an intelligent management platform that transforms into useful information, to connect all areas and processes of a company. A complete software and hardware service allows “real control and visibility over all products and processes”.

The success of the company, which today has 50 employees, but expects to reach 100 by the end of 2019, is also due to its business model: “we have managed to develop a“ payable ”product that is in the parameters of what companies are willing to invest ”. A provision that is strengthened by the figures it provides: “we have managed to save a client 20 million euros in 1 year; or that another client saves 1 million euros in a month. ”

With these savings figures, more and more companies are attracted by disruptive technologies and opt for the services of a company that also puts light on the so-called “gray fence”, that is, thefts.

“In the supply chain there is a lot of theft and loss of pallets, boxes, racks … and we allow that, through connectivity protocols, the products are always geolocated. For us, other companies that develop monitoring systems, both for production and for moving products, can be great collaborators. ”

Another area in which WiTraC intervenes is in the automation of processes and that, for example, has allowed a company to “ reorient the activity of 300 people towards activities that add value”. “It is not about firing anyone, but rather that these people have been able to dedicate themselves to value-added tasks and not to routines that can be done well by devices”.

WiTraC’s entry into AVIA is the result of the evolution of the automotive sector and the need for companies to monitor their production processes and always know and locate their products.
